wELCOME TO eMPOWER

The Empower program has been designed especially for women, by women to support you on your personal wellbeing journey.

This journey you are about to embark on is an exciting one. We can't wait to have you join us for the next 6 weeks as we support your mental and emotional wellbeing.


Week 1

tHE FOUNDATIONS OF POSITIVE MENTAL HEALTH AND OVERALL WELLBEING

Wellbeing refers to a positive state of mental health, feelings of general happiness and life satisfaction. Emotional wellbeing is strongly linked to physical health.

Many aspects of our lives can influence our wellbeing including relationships, careers, exercise, diet, sleep, finances, self-esteem, purpose, meaning and a sense of belonging.


Week 2

sTRESS AND SELF-CARE

Mindfulness has been found to reduce the impact of stress, increase emotional intelligence and positively influence overall wellbeing. It is the process simply being as oppose to doing and helps us pay attention to what is going on in us and around us from a non-judgemental perspective.


Week 3

ADOPTING A GROWTH MINDSET

When we work to adopt a 'growth mindset', we naturally become more willing to perceive any situation as an opportunity for growth. A 'growth mindset' promotes expansive thinking and an openness for alternative outcomes and lessons.


Week 4

gOALS, VALUES AND DESIRES

Setting goals gives us a sense of meaning and purpose. discovering our true values and aligning these with our goals and desires has a positive impact on how we feel about ourselves and our life.


week 5

sLEEP HEALTH AND STRESS REDUCTION

Stress has negative impacts on our physical, mental and emotional health. Poor sleep health is an early sign that stress may be building to unhealthy levels and therefore it may be time to make some positive changes.


week 6

sELF-CARE AND LOVING KINDNESS

Self-compassion involves acting compassionately towards yourself. It means being kind and understanding when confronted with personal failings and honouring and accepting your humanness. To show loving kindness to ourselves takes work, dedication and commitment to work on the relationship we have with ourselves, but it’s one of the best things you can do for your health and wellbeing.
